“Seeing In Pieces” is rooted in collage, which has become the constant thread through my artistic practice. Collage provides the most apt description of our splintered 21st Century psyche by describing the fragmented and contradictory nature of contemporary experience. It embraces the strain between accident and control, coherence and disruption but also the noisy and lively energy of vitality. The tension that exists between nuance and paradox is what this work sits.
